Jerry Janda attended the University of Texas at Austin's College of Automotive Engineering in Austin, Texas. George Tuttle, the son of George and his wife Olivia, was a World War II veteran. In 1898, the young George married Olivia Tuttle (died 1944) and, a few months after the Spanish-American War, became the father of two sons, George Jr. and George Jr., both veterans of the Second World War.
The oldest marked grave in the cemetery bears the name of Frantisek Adamcik, who was born in Moravia on 21 July 1824 and died in Hostyn, Texas in 1866. The ancestral collection of about 300 members of the Janda family is the largest collection of Czech relatives found in Texas and the only of its kind. Unfortunately, the sale of the company to cover his partner's gambling debts, which he no longer had in the city, led to him getting into debt and leaving the city. He was hired by another company, but not much longer.
Mrs. Theresia Kubala of Hostyn was married on 7 November 1906 to Joseph Janda, a member of the family, who was born on 7 October 1882 in Hostyn. Jandas, born on April 1, 1886 in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of a farmer, was the first wife of Dr. Josef Jands, a car mechanic in the city.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Josef Jandas, and their two sons, Joseph Janda Jr. and Fred Jands, both from Hostyn. She is survived by two daughters, Theresia Kubala of San Antonio, Texas, and Joseph, a member of the family, in San Jose.
